Description
This powerful daughter of the late, great Not A Single Doubt, is a multiple stakes performer and a half-sister to the tough black-type galloper, Gangbuster. Let It Slip stands at approximately 15.2 hands high, is a well put together mare with a deep girth, strong hindquarter, and excellent bone - traits she consistently stamps on her progeny.
The 12-year-old mare has had six living foals with four of racing age for two handy winners.
Her first foal Banana Slide (by Sebring) realised $150,000 at the Inglis Easter Yearling Sale and has really started to find her groove winning her last two races at Doomben and the Sunshine Coast. She was tested in the Group 3 Winx Guineas as a three-year-old where she finished fifth behind future Group 1 Melbourne Cup victor Knight’s Choice.
Her second foal, Patience Is Virtue (by More Than Ready), showed very good ability winning a Rosehill trial by three lengths before placing a narrow second on debut at Wyong. She was unfortunately retired and has been covered by the highly promising stallion, Brutal – the sire of Group 1 Champagne Stakes winner Nepotism.
Sheraquay (by So You Think) won her maiden in smart fashion in October last year and is showing city class ability in Queensland.
The two-year-old filly by Better Than Ready, now named Better Not Slip, is in training with Jim Mason on the Sunshine Coast and has been retained to race by her breeders.
Let It Slip also has a So You Think yearling filly that has been retained to race by her breeders. The Churchill colt foal died after birth.
Let It Slip has no vices and is being sold unreserved.
