SPEED, SPEED, SPEED
CHAMPAGNE EFFORT is a lightly raced 4yo daughter of REWARD FOR EFFORT out of a winning Bel Esprit mare, VIVACITY.
Reward For Effort - a son of the exceptionally fast EXCEED AND EXCEL - was a very fast horse himself, securing victory in the G1 Blue Diamond Stakes over 1200m in his 2yo season, before training on to win Stakes races over 1100m as both a 3yo and a 4yo.
At stud he has produced 15 Stakeswinners, including 5 at Group level.
Vivacity was a speedy daughter of the precocious BEL ESPRIT (also a G1 Blue Diamond winner as a 2yo) and she was unplaced only once from 6 lifetime starts.
Vivacity is also the mother of the very promising 2yo Hanseatic filly OBUCCI in the Phillip Stokes yard.
Obucci debuted in a G3 race earlier this month after winning a barrier trial impressively, so there is plenty of scope for upgrades on Champagne Effort's pedigree page in the months to come.
Champagne Effort has had 11 'top 5' finishes from 14 starts, including 1 win and 7 placings, with very solid sprinting performances between 1000m and 1200m.
Her current Official Rating of 55 allows plenty of scope for someone to race her on in the right jurisdiction and win several races before the handicapper 'catches up with her'.
She is both sound and honest, and she is being offered for unreserved sale as a racing and breeding prospect.
