Description
This filly is the fourth foal from dual winner Hurry Harriet (by Magic Albert). A frontrunning mare on the track, Hurry Harriet was off and racing as a juvenile, placing in two of her four starts in the autumn of her juvenile year. She found her best racing over the middle distances, with wins at 1500 and 1700 metres. All three of her siblings are winners over sprint distances, including $150,000 earner Ordell (by Fighting Sun).
Hurry Harriet’s second dam is the trans-Tasman victress Altrista (by Sir Tristram), whose eight wins included the Listed Corbould Park Anniversary Cup, as well as placing in the G1 Wellington Cup and running fourth in the G1 New Zealand Oaks. Her other daughters include Trista Rossa, dam of G3 Premier Plate winner Tuchel (by Redwood) and Up And Up, dam of Listed Oaklands Plate winner Unfair Dismissal (by All Too Hard), who won his first of 10 races as a juvenile and has notched his most recent win as a 9-year-old, epitomising the strength running through the family.
This deep New Zealand family is descended from blue hen and G1 Railway Handicap winner Alynda (by Nassau), whose four stakes winners include Zalinda (by Zabeel), dam of Group 3-winning sire Fast ‘N’ Famous and granddam of G2 Rich Hill Mile winner Habana (by Zoustar).
Sire dual Group winner Doubtland has had his first crop of juveniles hit the track this season and has kicked off with a bang; from nine runners, he has produced four winners, including metropolitan winners Dushenka and Tom. Winner of the G3 Kindergarten Stakes as a 2-year-old and the G2 Danehill Stakes in the spring of his 3-year-old year before running third in the G2 San Domenico Stakes and fourth in the G1 Coolmore Stud Stakes, Doubtland’s foals are bred to fly home.
This filly shares her birth month of November with recent champions Bivouac, Anamoe, Abbey Marie, and Nature Strip. In statistics from the 2021/22 racing season, 20% of Group 1-winning horses that year were born in November.
