Description
For sale as part of a stock reduction is the exciting opportunity to purchase Verdier, carrying a positive pregnancy to Group 1 winning and Group 1 producing sire Hellbent.
Verdier is a daughter of the elite international sire Medaglia d'Oro, sire of over 160 stakes winners including champions such as Golden Sixty, Songbird and Vancouver. She is out of the well – bred mare Tea Roses (by Exceed And Excel), from a prolific Australian sprinting family.
Her dam, Tea Roses, is a half – sister to Leone Chara, the dam of Star Witness – Group 1 winner and now one of Australia's leading sires. This places Verdier within a deep black – type family known for producing both elite racehorses and commercial sires.
Verdier is currently in foal to Group 1 – producing sire Hellbent, due to foal down in September. Hellbent continues to rise as a commercial force, currently 17th of the General Sires table and 3rd among 4YO sires, with the highest winners – to – runners strike rate in the top 20 at over 49%.
Notably, the Verdier x Hellbent mating is bred on the same Medaglia d'Oro x Exceed And Excel sire - line cross as the Group – performing mare I Am Me (I Am Invincible), highlighting the strength and potential of this genetic combination.
