Description
Bulahdelah Miss represents a wonderful opportunity to purchase a quality young mare with excellent confirmation who is in foal to popular sire Brazen Beau, standing at Darley Stud Victoria for $33,000 incl GST in 2024.
Bulahdelah Miss is by CAPE BLANCO out of the Group 2 & 3 placed, WRITTEN TYCOON mare PRESTIGIOUS MISS, who is half sister to Group 3 winner CASSINI. Bulahdelah Miss is unraced while her half brother, BELUGA (TAVISTOCK), won 7 races and over Au $2.1m in prize-money racing in Hong Kong. Colts born in this family have significant Hong Kong buyer interest due to the close relations in the family.
Standing at 15.3 hh, well muscled, short canons, good bone, nice hip and strong hindquarters. This is an athletic mare with outstanding confirmation. She also has a pretty head and a kind eye. Bulahdelah Miss is in excellent health, she is very fertile producing a quality foal in each season at stud with 4/5 of those first covers. No vices, a kind horse that is easy to do anything with.
Bulahdelah Miss has proven she can produce well conformed, imposing, well muscled and good sized foals that go onto the major yearling sales and produced great sales results. Her first foal (Zousain) was an Inglis Classic 2023 $75,000 sale that went on to resell for $200,000 at the R2R sale that same year to Hong Kong Interests. Her 2nd foal (Zousain) sold at the 2024 Melbourne Premier sale (Book 1) for $70,000.
Brazen Beau is a proven producer in the sales ring and also on the track. He produces winner to runners at 61% and has an impressive 27 stakes winners at 5% Stakes winners to runners. He has had a 2yo Stakes winner in each of his crops to race. This seasons 3yo Group 1 Winning Filly Another Prophet winning the Thousand Guineas.
