Description
Shamrock Betty is a 5YO unraced mare by Japanese Horse of the Year Maurice (JPN) — sire of G1 winners Hitotsu, Mazu, Pixie Knight, and other rising stars across Australasia and Japan. She was a $220,000 yearling purchase, reflecting her strong physical and pedigree appeal.
Her dam Flashing Speed (War Pass) was a dual city winner and G3-placed, and is a half-sister to Thunder Fantasy — winner of the G2 Autumn Stakes and the Hong Kong Classic Cup (G1, 1800m), and G1-placed in the Victoria Derby, Rosehill Guineas, and Australian Guineas. Another half-brother, Éclair Calling, was stakes-placed.
Second dam Pink Pier is by champion sire Galileo, and is a half-sister to Benarrivo (Listed-placed). This is the deep international family of Night Dive, dam of Jade Diva, who produced Bliss Street (G3 WA Sires’ Produce Stakes, G3 Thousand Guineas Prelude) and Jade Marauder (G3 Sweet Embrace Stakes).
