Description
Auspirit is a lovely, well bred mare who is ready to go to the next phase of her career in the breeding barn.
Her racing career was sadly cut short after she sustained an eye ulcer which ultimately led to her losing her right eye, when on return to work after recovering from a tendon injury. She has recovered well from her eye removal surgery and is no longer in need of any treatment or management however she is unable to now race again due to the rules of racing in Australia.
She was a well performed mare on the track having won 3-times and placing 3-times up to Benchmark 64 level in Victoria, including at Metropolitan level, from 1600-2200m. She was always a late maturing mare as her breeding suggests and had more to give before her racing came to an unfortunate end.
By AUSTRALIA (son of Galileo) out of stakes-placed Kahlua Kiss, Auspirit hails from a deep international family rich in black type. She is a half-sister to Group-performed stakes winner WINDHOEK and Stakes Placed Queen Kahlua, and closely related to multiple Group winners including SPECIAL RING and SINGING. With a pedigree combining the best of Sadler’s Wells, Cape Cross, and Fairy King, she offers terrific genetic potential for breeders seeking both performance and proven bloodlines.
She's a beautiful mare on type standing at approximately 16hh, being well conformed, attractive, correct and a good mover. She'll make a lovely broodmare for any commercial breeding operation and is available for inspection.
