3yo Chestnut Gelding by LONG LEAF out of MISS ADELAIDE
• This 3yo gelding by LONG LEAF has been given every opportunity to grow and develop into a lovely horse.
• His dam MISS ADELAIDE (Fusaichi Pegasus), was sharp on the track, winning over 1000m. She is a half-sister to EL ROCA (Fastnet Rock). EL ROCA was a serious racehorse, placing twice at G1 level. He finished second in the G1 ATC Randwick Guineas and third in the G1 ATC George Ryder. He is currently standing at Westbury Stud and has proved himself to be a successful stallion, siring two G1 winners.
• FUSAICHI PEGASUS has produced 5 G1 winners as a Broodmare Sire in Australia. These include TROPICAL SQUALL (Prized Icon), CATCHY (Fastnet Rock), and CAPITALIST (Written Tycoon). He operates at 64% winners to colt runners in Australia as a Broodmare Sire.
• BATTLE JACK’s sire, LONG LEAF was a precocious 2-year-old, winning the L Merson Cooper Stakes and the L Blue Diamond Preview. He went on to compete against the best of his age in many of the premium 3yo races. He won the L Karaka Million 3yo Classic. He also came 4th in the G1 Sires’ Produce, 2nd in the G3 Vain Stakes and 3rd in the G2 Sandown Guineas.
• BATTLE JACK’s pedigree is littered with impressive stakes winners, including MILLRICH (Rubiton). She won the G3 STC Sweet Embrace Stakes, was second in the G2 AJC Silver Shadow Stakes and the G2 STC Magic Night Stakes and finished third in the prestigious G1 STC Golden Slipper Stakes. She produced REDZEL (Snitzel), who was Champion Sprinter and Older Horse in Australia in 2017, winning the G1 VRC Darley Classic, the G1 BRC Doomben Ten Thousand Stakes and what has come to be one of the elite sprinting races in Australia, The Everest.
• G3 winner DANERICH (Danehill), and second place finisher in the G1 WATC Derby, CONSPIRATOR (Marscay) are also found in the family.
• BATTLE JACK’s owners have decided to move him on as they prefer to be racing stakes class horses. BATTLE JACK is very unexposed, having only raced three times. He has the ability to break his maiden, earn some prize money and make his way through the grades for his new owners.
• BATTLE JACK retains plenty of residual fitness, having last raced on the 15th of May, and he just recently commenced a spell on the 21st of May.
