About A Girl

After winning in New Zealand on debut over 1200m, this filly was purchased and sent to Australia for what looked to be a promising career beaten only 0.2lengths over 1850m, and a Queensland Oaks campaign in mind. Unfortunately, this preparation was cut short when she was found to have swelling to her right front tendon.

She was given the required time off, and clearance from the vet to return to full work however only days before trialling (8th May) she was found to have a repeat injury and therefore sent to the paddock. (Vet report attached).

About A Girl is an Almanzor filly out of the mare Sweet Inspiration who is the half-sister to TURN ME LOOSE. She is the dam of named foals who are all winners.
