Description
STARBOARD – Genuine Metro-Class Galloper:
This is a regrettable sale made on compassionate grounds. The current owner has been forced to part with his shares in Starboard following the devastating floods on the Mid North Coast of NSW, which caused significant damage to both his livestock and property.
Starboard is a lightly raced four-year-old gelding with a strong metro profile. From just seven starts, he has won twice and placed on three occasions. He has consistently shown above-average ability and has already competed with distinction in Saturday metropolitan grade.
He resumed his most recent prep with two excellent runs at Hawkesbury, which saw him start favourite at his next two outings in Sydney metro company. On April 19 at Randwick, he looked the winner for much of the straight but couldn’t quite let down in the final 100m on a Soft 6, finishing fourth beaten just 1.57 lengths. We gave him the benefit of the doubt and pressed on to the Standalone Saturday meeting at Hawkesbury on May 3. Again sent out favourite, he simply didn’t handle the Heavy 8 conditions and that effort was too poor to be true.
The clear takeaway from this prep is that Starboard is a genuine dry-tracker. He’s been sent to the paddock for a well-earned winter break and will return for a Spring/Summer campaign where we believe he’ll thrive on firmer ground and continue climbing through the grades.
This is a great opportunity to buy into a lightly raced and graded horse with genuine upside.

STARBOARD is trained by Richard & Will Freedman and professionally managed by Dynamic Syndications. The successful bidder will enter into the gelding under Dynamic Syndications’ management agreement and be bound by the terms and conditions of the relevant Product Disclosure Statement (PDS) and Syndicate Deed (as attached).
In order to complete any sale, the sale will be conditional upon the buyer immediately signing the Dynamic Syndications ownership documentation (attached), inclusive of a Secondary Sale PDS and an Owners Deed of Agreement effective at point of sale, plus any required Racing Australia transfer of ownership documents and associated fees.
