Description
Being sold as part of an annual reduction, this two-time winning daughter of Snitzel is being offered in foal to Lucky Vega (IRE).
Snitzel is making a huge impact as a broodmare sire with 6 Group 1 winners accredited to daughters of this breed shaping sire. Snitzel mares when crossed with Written Tycoon or Zoustar cross is proving especially lucrative on the track.
Sovereign Gold was a lightly raced mare who picked up two wins from only seven starts. Her first two foals have both been well put together and well-muscled individuals. She is out of the Flying Spur mare in Recoinage, who herself ran second in the Group 3 Triscay Stakes. Sovereign Gold is also the half-sister to stakes placed Coin Collectorl; as well as the impressive recent winner Spillane, who has subsequently been sold to Hong Kong.
Lucky Vega has made an immediate impact at stud, largely due to the efforts of Within the Law. This Bjorn Baker trained filly has picked up a Group 2 victory, alongside an unlucky second in the Group 1 Champagne Stakes to amass total earnings of $1,431,000 from only seven starts.
Sovereign Gold is an easy mare to do most things with. Her feet are good, and both her first two pregnancies have been trouble free.
As can be seen from the images supplied, Sovereign Gold does not have the greatest legs in front and required screws. This, however, has not been the case for her first two foals who have both been correct.
