Sleek is by proven broodmare sire Commands and out of Trim (Lonhro), a Gr.3 winner and multiple Gr.2-placed mare. Sleek hails from a strong Black Type family - she is a half-sister to Gr.3 winner Barber and Gr.3 winner and multiple Gr.2-placed Manicure, both by Exceed and Excel.
Her granddam was herself a Gr.2 winner and multiple Stakes-performed mare, as well as an influential producer. Notably, she produced the dam of Gatting, winner of the Gr.1 Makybe Diva Stakes, dual Gr.2 winner and multiple Group-performed runner.
As a broodmare, Sleek has a five-year-old filly by Preferment who remains in training and won her most recent start in early April. She also has a promising three-year-old filly by dual Gr.1-winning miler Grunt, who broke her maiden on May 1st and finished third in her most recent outing, suggesting further potential page updates.
Upcoming progenies include a two-year-old by Gr.1 Blue Diamond Stakes winner Tagaloa and a weanling by Group performer Lucky Vega.
