Description

What a great start Vinery Stud’s Gr.1 Coolmore Stud Stakes winner Exceedance has made to his stud career, the high class sprinting son of the great Exceed And Excel already represented by four stakes winners amongst his first 44 winners.

In the top ten second season sire lists by numbers of stakes wins and stakes winners, Exceedance has a bright future and here is a chance to secure a lovely young mare in foal to him.

A lightly raced Warwick Farm winner, Venelope is by the Juddmonte Stud based superstar stallion Kingman (15 Gr.1 winners; 96 stakes winners and counting!) out of the imported Fastnet Rock mare Fastnet Sun.

This is a lovely international pedigree with the Gr.1 Irish Guineas hero Indian Haven and the Gr.1 Gran Criterium winner Count Dubois amongst Venelope’s relations as is the local high class miler Top Ranked - winner of the Gr.1 Epsom Handicap.

This is a family which has been producing topliners for generations - such as the outstanding brothers Kris and Diesis who have made their mark on Australian pedigrees.

Being sold with a September 16 service date, the five-year-old Venelope has plenty to offer with Kingman still in the early days of his career as a broodmare sire - a couple of stakes winners already.

Her foal (her first) will be bred on the same Exceedance/Invincible Spirit cross as the exciting three-year-old Dance To The Boom who did such a great job winning her first three starts including the Listed Gosford Guineas.
