3YO Written Tycoon filly with considerable upside!
Quill Ambition is a filly trained by Ciaron Maher by Champion sire Written Tycoon and out of a city-placed Snitzel mare Set Goals. Set Goals comes from an impressive black-type family, being is a full sister to 8 time winner and Listed placed-mare mare Cafe Royal. Snitzel is the most successful producer of quality racehorses over the last decade and is now making his mark as a broodmare sire, currently boasting the highest winners to runners strike rate.
Set Goals comes from the most renown family in Australian racing. That of Champion Sires Redoute's Choice, Manhattan Rain and Al Maher!
Quill Ambition was bought for $90,000 from the Magic Millions National Sale. This filly has taken a while to develop but has come on considerably in her last preparation, where she was unfortunately hindered by wet tracks. All of her jockeys and track riders have notes she is a nice filly, but lacks the strength finish off her races. In the most recent jockey report (attached) JVO noted she will win races once she is able to develop further.
With some time to put on some condition and furnish, she will develop into a nice racehorse.
She has excellent racing manners, being able to jump well and settle. She has returned to the paddock sound.
