Description
Shandaara is a proven distance horse who has been successful at 2200m but is also versatile enough to win over a shorter trip having already claimed victory at 1300m as well.
Boasting a pedigree that sums up her versatility, Shandaara is by Pentire, a 2YO Group 2 performer over 1200m and winner of the Ascot King George IV and Queen Elizabeth DIamond stakes over a mile and a half as an older horse. Pentire has produced 690 winners for 48 stakes winners including a NZ Derby winner.
Shandaara is out of the Marscay mare Best Offer who won on three occasions herself from 1200m to a mile. Best Offer is also a half-sister to the stakes winner Oamaru Storm and has produced 7 foals to race for 4 winners.
Currently in full work Shandaara is being offered as a genuine racing prospect who is ready to go for a new stable. Probably best suited to the country circuit and having already proven herself at a trip Shandaara would suit any stable looking for a country cups type contender.
