Description
CETINA sells in foal to the very smart OUTREACH (by EXCEED AND EXCEL), a brother to Golden Slipper winner OVERREACH. She was covered just the once, after coming off the track in early October. She is measured to stand just over 16 hands high. You can see from the attached pictures and video, CETINA is a quality individual, a well-balanced strong sprinting type with good conformation. She is free of all vices.
OUTREACH at his one and only start stretched the undefeated Champion 2yo VANCOUVER to a margin of 3/4 length in the Group 3 ATC Canonbury Stakes – and that was after OUTREACH was injured in the straight and subsequently pulled up lame. His trainer Peter Snowden had no doubt OUTREACH was top draw and on retiring to stud stated, “OUTREACH was a machine. Without doubt Golden Slipper class. A genuine Group 1 colt.”
OUTREACH has proven immensely popular with breeder, covering over 130 mares in his first season in 2016 and has again covered a similar sized book in 2017. Being a son of the exceptionally precocious stallion EXCEED AND EXCEL, a brother to a Golden Slipper winner, plus a good 2yo himself, it will not come as a surprise if his first crop come out running as early 2yo’s, hence, potentially making it extremely advantageous for breeders who have second crop yearlings to sell by him.
CETINA’S sire READY’S IMAGE, is by MORE THAN READY, sire of nearly 180 Stakes Winners, including more than 60 individual 2yo Stakes winners, and twice Champion Australian 2yo Sire. READY’S IMAGE has progeny earnings in excess of $17 million and an impressive 71% Winners/Runners which compares favourably with other proven stallions such as MAGNUS (70%), PENTIRE (64%), CHARGE FORWARD (62%), RESET (60%), and DOMESDAY (58%). He also has a healthy 6.2% Stakes Horses/Runners, better than the likes of NICCONI (5.9%), BEL ESPRIT (5.3%), MYBOYCHARLIE (4.7%) and REWARD FOR EFFORT (4.4%).
CETINA is a half-sister to 3 winners including A LITTLE NAUGHTY (six Brisbane wins, $245,600 prize money), the dam of ISORICH, who on the 2nd of December at Rosehill, ran a career best third in the Listed ATC Starlight Stakes (beaten 1.5 lengths). This Saturday (16th of December), ISORICH lines up in the Listed ATC Razor Sharp Quality at Randwick over 1200m, where hopefully he can add to his tally of wins and placings which have to date taken his earnings past $520,000.
