PRIMUS has all the desirable traits of a Thoroughbred stallion - Performance, Pedigree, Speed, Type and Temperament.
PRIMUS has the classic lines of the natural athlete; strong sloping shoulder, powerful hindquarter and good bone are complimented by a good length of rein and correct limb formation. He is a magnificent individual of notable strength and character.
Trained by John O’Shea, PRIMUS raced into prominence in his first preparation.
John had every confidence in his ability to perform as a stallion;
“He is an amazing type, with a great turn of foot. He’s also a very sound horse, and most importantly for him, he has got an amazing pedigree” said O’Shea.
PRIMUS was a Group 3 winner and was consistently placed in no less than three Group 1 races and two Group 2’s.
PRIMUS hails from the all-conquering Denise’s Joy family which also includes champion mare MORE JOYOUS as well as 2010/11 champion sire of New Zealand, Thorn Park.
PRIMUS is out of Hector Protector mare Copa de Oro, Copa de Oro is a half-sister to juvenile stakes winner Miss Minden, who is the dam of Queensland Oaks winner Miss Danehill, as well as multiple stakes winner Pentastic.
Primus’ third dam is champion filly Denise’s Joy.
PRIMUS is correct sound and stands at 16hh. He is easy to handle and is an easy horse to cover with.
