Description
DELZALI is a lightly raced STARCRAFT mare that has untapped racing potential having showed good ability with close up finishes in strong maiden races at some of Victoria's premier provincial tracks.
DELZALI is sure to be winning more than her share of races with a slight drop in grade and once she gets over more suitable trips.
She is out of a famous Aga Khan family with her dam (DELISHA) being a half sister to DARSI who won the G1 Prix du Jockey Club in France and a half sister to DARSHA who was G1 and G3 placed in France over 2500m.
In her first preparation, DELZALI was extremely green and raw but still managed to run well on debut beaten only 3.8L at Racing.Com Park.
In her second preparation, she was beaten 5L in a 1200m maiden at Seymour, ran at Moonee Valley and wasn't disgraced when beaten 5L in a Cranbourne maiden
DELZALI trialled brilliantly on a soft ground in October 2017 behind city/stakes level horses in Shenandoah and Experimentation. She continually hit hard surfaces during her second preparation but is a mare, like most of the European bred horses, that grows another leg on softer ground.
DELZALI has been patiently developed and is now fully matured and is ready to continue her racing career. She is in excellent condition and ready to commence work with the owners selling for financial reasons.
