Americain is by Champion US Sire Dynaformer, a son of the great Roberto. In Australia, the Roberto sire line has been most prominently represented by Red Ransom. He and his sons work especially well here with mares carrying LAST TYCOON, BLETCHINGLY, SUCCESS EXPRESS, DANEHILL / DANZIG and MR. PROSPECTOR.
Americain’s dam is a half sister to Gr.2 winner MAJOREIN by Mr. Prospector’s son, MACHIAVELLIAN (sire of STREET CRY, NO EXCUSE NEEDED and VETTORI). Dynaformer is out of a His Majesty mare – as is DANEHILL. While Dynaformer has had very limited exposure to Danehill, he has worked well with his sire, DANZIG, producing 25 stakes winners and 21 stakes place getters to-date. Apart from Danehill and sons, other DANZIG line broodmare sires here include AD VALOREM, ANABAA, BELONG TO ME, BIANCONI, CHIEF’S CROWN, DESERT SUN, GOLDEN SNAKE and PERUGINO.
As Americain carries Nijinsky II through a son, REDOUTE’S CHOICE (by Danehill) will be especially appealing, as he carries a daughter of Nijinsky II and is also from the same female line.
