Description
Yulong Mercury is a winning mare by Not a Single Doubt and out of the winning mare Stormy Hussey (Hussonet). She descends from the outstanding family of November Rain, an exceptional mare who captured three Gr.1 victories, including the prestigious Australian Oaks and Victorian Oaks.
As a broodmare, Yulong Mercury has been well supported by Yulong’s high-quality stallion roster. She has a weanling by Champion Sire Written Tycoon, a yearling by dual Gr.1-winning miler Grunt who realised $160,000 at Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale, and a two-year-old by Gr.1 Blue Diamond Stakes winner Tagaloa.
She’s currently in foal to Panthalassa, by exciting new sire Panthalassa, a mating that brings valuable pedigree synergy. A Japanese-bred, dual international Gr.1 winner, Panthalassa is the highest-earning horse ever to stand in Australia, with over $21 million in prizemoney. He was heavily supported in his first season at stud by leading breeders, covering top-class middle-distance mares including Gr.1 winners Miss Sentimental (NZ), Pennyweka (NZ), Montefilia, and Autumn Angel.
