Description
Pikari Star is a winning mare by Choisir, out of the New Zealand-bred mare Etoile Fille. She hails from a strong female lineage, descending from great producers like Ambitious, dam of Strike The Stars (Savabeel), a Gr.3 winner and multiple Group placegetter, including second in the Gr.1 Australian Guineas. Also featured on the page is Make a Wish, dam of none other than Champion I Wish I Win and Group winner Another Dollar.
As a broodmare, Pikari Star has produced a three-time winner in the filly Star In The Sky (Savabeel), Her recent progeny includes a two-year-old by champion sire Written Tycoon, retained by Yulong and currently in training; a yearling filly by Gr.1 Blue Diamond Stakes winner Tagaloa, a son of Japanese superstar Lord Kanaloa and a proven source of early speed and precocity; and a weanling by Gr.1 producer Alabama Express, retained by Yulong.
She’s currently in foal to Group producer Lucky Vega, sire of the 2025 Gr.2 Sweet Embrace Stakes winner, Within The Law. Lucky Vega has proven to be an incredible investment for breeders, with yearlings selling up to $380,000 in 2025 and averaging eight times their conception fee.
