Description
Multiple stakes placed mare from one of the last crops of legendary broodmare sire ZABEEL.
Like so many of her father’s progeny, Rahveel excelled as a spring three year old, running in all the major races, including a fourth in the Gr 2 Edward Manifold behind Mosheen and a fifth in the Gr 1 Thousand Guineas and second in the Gr 2 Wakeful Stakes, both behind the four time Group 1 winning filly Atlantic Jewel.
Rahveel herself is out of quality NZ mare Sarah Vee who was Classic placed in the Gr 1 NZ 2000 Guineas against the boys and went on to throw seven winners as a broodmare including the stakes winner YESTERDAY’S SONGS, as well as Rahveel. Bred to excel as a broodmare and with a race record to match, three of Rahveel’s first four foals are by Fastnet Rock, including the city placed Sazavee. She has an unraced two year old colt and a yearling colt by the same stallion still to come, so she is firmly on an uphill trajectory.
