Description
A winner of four over distances up to 1400m, Shiraz Attack was handy enough to race in stakes company and managed a fourth in the Gr.3 Vo Rogue Plate.
By Danehill sire son Oratorio, to date she has progeny on the ground by Deep Field, Pierro and Mikki Isle with these well-received as yearlings, selling for up to $350,000. Her first foal, Pinot Party, is three and a winner of two races this season for Mick Price and Michael Kent Jnr.
Her dam is by breed-shaper Galileo and has produced five to race for four winners. The second dam is the stakes-winner Simply Believe who has produced two stakes-winners herself in Faith Hill and Black Minx, dam of So Si Bon.
This is also the family of stakes winners Global Exchange and recent Listed HC Nitschke Stakes winner Incredulous Dream.
Shiraz Attack’s half-sister Amarillo was covered by Star Turn last year with other covering sires in the pedigree including Pierata, Knight Exemplar, Hellbent, Alabama Express, Territories and Written By.
Offered in foal to Newgate’s outstanding Golden Slipper winner Capitalist (Written Tycoon) who commands a $99,000 service fee this spring. His oldest progeny are two and he has made a big impression with his first crop including Gr.1 Champagne Stakes winner Captivant and RL $2 million Inglis Millennium winner Profiteer.
