Description
CHERRYPICK is a well put together 3yo filly by the ill-fated LIONHEARTED. She stands at 16.1hh and weighs in at 536kg. LIONHEARTED was stakes placed and a regally bred colt by the great FASTNET ROCK out of the blue hen mare SCANDINAVIA - who needs absolutely no introduction, being the dam of the multiple stakes winners MAGNUS, WILANDER, SCANDIVA and ARTIC FLIGHT.
LIONHEARTED’s family also includes the horse of a lifetime in that of BLACK CAVIAR as well as ALL TOO HARD and recent stars of the turf OLE KIRK, GIMME PAR, HANSEATIC and SEMILLION.
LIONHEARTED has had just 18 runners to date from only the one crop of 38 foals and if the performances of CHERRYPICK are to go by he will add a metro winner to his tally in the coming months.
CHERRY PICK is out of the stakes placed and two-time winning LONHRO mare BEAU VALLON who is a full sister to LAUNAY who had eight career wins for $625,000 in prizemoney, including two wins in the Listed VRC 50th Birthday Stakes with placings in the G2 BRC Queensland Guineas, G3 MRC Easter Cup amongst another amazing seven stakes placings.
CHERRYPICK’s family hails from the great mare EVENING SEA who was the dam of seven foals, for six to race – all being winners; including the stakes winners STORM, RUNAWAY GROOM and REGAL SEA who amongst them have 17 stakes wins and placings combined.
CHERRYPICK is knocking on the door for a metro win so this filly has every opportunity to provide her new owners some serious fun on the track. She is being sold to reduce numbers of horses in training for her owners as they believe she is not up to stakes class. CHERRYPICK would be very well suited to jurisdictions such as Queensland or Western Australia.
