Description

Great opportunity to purchase a big, strong broodmare prospect or potentially continue on with a racing career. Hearty Lass is a 6 time city winning mare who was forward enough to win her first start by 3 lengths at Morphettville in a $100k 2yo 1000m race defeating subsequent group performing filly Li’l Kontra ( ran 3rd). She then ran 4th at her second start in a listed race behind class performers Absolut Glam and Li’l Kontra. Returning as a 3yo she ran 2nd to listed winner and group performer Garner before winning her next start over 955m at Moonee Valley leaving Sartorial Splendour (3rd) behind her who then won a G3 at his next start. Additionally Hearty Lass won a further 4 starts, 3 at Morphettville and 1 at Caulfield and was victorious over distances ranging from 955m to 1440m and at ages 2,3,4 and 5.

At her second last prep she was extremely unlucky to miss a place in the listed Xmas Handicap and at her most recent start finished 4th behind Belle Plaisir (won a G3 two starts later) and Silent Sovereign (won a G2 at her next start).

She was an incredibly strong and durable racehorse who with a little luck would have won many more races and achieved black type status and should go on to make a solid breeding proposition for anyone interested.
