Description
Tomiko is a lovely bay mare standing at approx. 16.1hh. She represents an opportunity to buy a mare in-foal to leading First Season sire by both stakes winners and earnings in Russian Revolution. Russian Revolution has sired multiple stakes horses in his first crop, horses like Rise of the Masses, Russian Conquest and Gr2 winner and Gr1 Blue Diamond runner up in Revolutionary Miss in his first crop.
Tomiko is by Duporth who is making a strong name for himself as a broodmare sire with stakes horses like Bons a Pearla and Be Water My Friend hailing from Duporth mares. As well as being the sire of track sensations Hey Doc, Beauty Spirit and Cornrow.
Tomiko is a good shaped mare, she is well balanced with a big hip and shoulder and a smart head.
The result of her current pregnancy will be a ¾ brother to the multiple Group winner Taikomochi trained by Waterhouse/Bott and earner of over $600k. The resulting foal bred on a very similar cross to Golden Slipper heroine ESTIJAAB.
Tomiko is only lightly bred having produced 3 healthy foals on the ground, all excellent types and have sold at public auction up to $75,000.
