Dalgarno is a stunning 5yo grey gelding by Dalghar. He has had 18 starts to date for 3 wins and 4 placings. He is a handy horse that we feel has the potential to level up to the mid-week/midway metropolitan grade.

His most recent racing preparation was well below his best but that was down to the wet tracks in Sydney which is not his preferred surface. He is much better on a firmer surface which most of his best form is on.

He is currently in pre-training and we estimate he will be ready to get back to the races towards the end of November where we are anticipating the tracks to be drier through the Summer racing period. We feel he could measure up to the midweek/midway metro level at that time of year and back on good tracks.

He did have a bleed out of one nostril in his last race start on the 15th of July. He did not receive a ban from racing, he just needs to trial or gallop over 1000m in front of the stewards before he can race again. We felt a spell to allow a full recovery, plus to skip the wet weather period was in his best interest, and we expect a succesful and fruitful return to racing in the Summer.
