Description
ANNARBOR is a young, Melbourne winner of 4 races (3 in succession) from 1240 to 2050 metres and over $160,000 in stakes. As well as winning at Sandown (by 3.3 lengths), Cranbourne (by 6.5 lengths), Geelong (by 1.5 lengths) and Mornington (by 0.5 lengths), she was also placed 2nd at Caulfield (beaten 0.1 by NO EFFORT) and Sandown (beaten 1.3 by DENERO) as well as in the Moe Cup (beaten 1.3 by GUNDOWN).
Annarbor is by 3-time Group 1 winner EXCELEBRATION (IRE). Excelebration was a Group 1 winner as a 3yo before returning as a 4yo to win the G1 Prix Jacques le Marois and the G1 Queen Elizabeth II Stakes at Royal Ascot. As a broodmare sire, from limited runners so far, he has already produced the Stakes winning juvenile in Great Britain FLAMING RIB (IRE), as well as an additional 13 individual winners.
Annarbor is out of the 5-time winning UMATILLA (NZ) mare ALLAPATTAH. Allapattah is a half-sister to multiple Group winner SPARGO ($280,150), both being out of the Group 2 winner and Group 1 placed ADRAANITO ($139,955). This is the family of Group winner CELESTIAL SHOW ($559,200) as well as Stakes winners FASHION VICTIM, WILLIAM’S GHOST, CHOCOLATE HOLIC etc.
Annarbor is the dam of one foal to date, a colt by MANHATTAN RAIN, who was sold for $18,000 to Pinhook Bloodstock at this year’s Inglis Great Southern Weanling Sale (see photograph attached).
Annarbor is currently under lights, cycling (CL and 35mm follicle right ovary 24 August) and ready to be covered by the stallion of your choice. This mare has been seen to windsuck.
