Description
A Trapeze Artist colt from a fast, early running family as his pedigree suggests. He is well related, too being out of Liberty Jane, a half sister to the very fast, very talented ATOMIC FORCE. He was an 11 time winner including twice at Gr.1 level with career earnings just shy of $1 Million on the track!
Liberty Jane is also the dam of the smart three year old, Liberty Steps. Trained by the Lindsay Park team, he was a city winning 2yo who was not beaten far at stakes level. He recently returned from a spell to run a close 2nd and looks to have an exciting prep in store.
He is by the elite racehorse who is having a tremendous start to his stud career. A Black Opal winner and Sires Produce placed at 2, TRAPEZE ARTIST went onto win four Group Ones including the Sire making Golden Rose, TJ Smith, All Aged & Canterbury Stakes, breaking two track records in the process!
TRAPEZE ARTIST has been an instant success at stud and an incredibly popular addition to the Widden roster, covering 618 mares in his first four seasons. He’s also proved popular in the sales ring, incredibly his first crop sold for up to $850,000 and has continued to be in high demand. But it’s on the racetrack where his progeny are really excelling. He is a leading First Season Sire for winners, TRAPEZE ARTIST has sired six individual 2yo winners from just a handful of starters, including the city winning and Pago Pago 4th, INTRODUCING, the most impressive first starter, TUMBLING and the recently stakes placed ARTISTICA.
