Description
A Zoustar colt out of a multiple stakes performer, these opportunities do not arise very often! This colt is out of the well bred Foxwedge mare, Aristocratic Miss. A multiple city winner who was also placed six times at stakes level. This colt is her second foal, her first foal is also by Zoustar and was recently sold at the Inglis Melbourne Premier sale for $65,000 to the bid of astute syndicators Hancox Bloodstock.
Being out of a Foxwedge mare means this colt is bred on the Zoustar x Fastnet Rock cross, which is noted for producing the likes of Gr.1 winner Zougotcha and Gr.3 winning 2yo Platinum Jubilee this season alone! He’s certainly bred to be smart.
ZOUSTAR needs no introduction as a sire. Already the sire of 34 individual stakes winners, it feels like he only retired yesterday from a stellar racing career where he captured both the Gr.1 Golden Rose AND the Gr.1 Coolmore – both incredible sire making races. If anything he has surpassed those achievements as a sire already. Five Gr.1 winners including the magnificent SUNLIGHT, he’s also one of only a few active sires to throw a Gr.1 winner in both hemispheres. ZOUGOTCHA proved her Gr.1 worth late last year, and it’s very unlikely we’ve seen the best of her. These exploits certainly haven’t gone unnoticed in the sale ring, he’s now sired 19 million dollar plus yearlings, seven of those have been sold this year alone! His yearlings just this year have sold up to $2.6 Million and are currently averaging over $450,000! We’re running out of superlatives used to describe ZOUSTAR, and rightly so!
