Description

Haafra Head (15'3 HH) is a well-related, sprint-winning daughter of International Group One sire, DREAM AHEAD.

She is out of the G3 Frank Packer Plate winner and Carbine Club Stakes-placed mare, AFRAAH.

A young producer, Haafra Head has had one foal to race and currently has 4 young horses coming through, three of which (two fillies and a colt) are by our resident dual G1 winning sire, GRUNT.

Grunt has had a fantastic start to his stallion career, with his first Group runner being a winner in the G2 VRC Sires Produce and a fourth in the G1 Sires Produce in Sydney. His progeny have continued to impress breakers, trainers and buyers, selling upwards of $300,000 in 2023.

Grunt has a foal crop of over 140 turning 3 this Spring and an additional 122 horses turning 3 next Spring. As Grunt was a G1 Guineas winning 3YO himself, and by prolific 3YO Sire in O’REILLY, this is an age we would expect his progeny to excel.

Haafra Head is offered in foal to our young 2YO G1 winning Sire, LUCKY VEGA.

An esteemed 2YO career, Lucky Vega claimed his 2YO Group One by 3.5L and beat horses such as St Marks Basilica and Laws of Indices. Additionally, Lucky Vega claimed placings in the G1 Royal Ascot St James’s Palace Stakes, G1 Newmarket 2000 guineas and a fourth in the G1 Curragh Irish 2000 Guineas.
