KATAWAY is a 3 time winning mare by DIRECT CHARGE (AUS), winner of the VRC Maribyrnong Plate [G3] and 3rd ATC Inglis 2 YO Classic [RL]. He is the Sire of winners TALLIS, ARROGANTE, KATAWAY, LASTING GRACE, JUMPERLEADS, KAT KISS, RUTTO, etc.

Out of the LIONHEART mare, KATNISS, half-sister to winners ARTISTIC FOCUS, MASTER OF DARKNESS, SEFTON, TICKET TO FLY and MASTER TOUCH, and from a family that includes stakes winner LORD DENNING.

KATAWAY has been a super consistent race mare and will be an enjoyable and rewarding breeding prospect. For her current stable she has had a total of 17 runs for 3:1:3, with 13 finishes in the top 5, and earnings over $60 000.

She is a pleasure to handle and have around the stables. She is a good eater, good doer in the paddock and travels well.

She has unfortunately suffered a tendon injury which sadly led her to retirement.

She is therefore offered as broodmare.
