A beautiful strong mare with a bold personality - easy to catch and float - Lady Samurai is a seven-year-old daughter of the outstanding Deep Impact horse Real Impact - a Gr.1 winner in Japan (the prestigious Yasuda Kinen) and Australia (the George Ryder Stakes defeating Criterion and Kermadec).
Boasting a great record in Australasia, Real Impact has been well represented by 125 winners from 175 runners - an excellent 71.4% strike rate.
Bred on the same Deep Impact/Galileo cross as star galloper Auguste Rodin, Lady Samurai is a two times winning 7Y0 being sold in foal to the exciting young stallion De Gaulle - a regally bred son of the recently retired Exceed And Excel and the Gr.1 mare Response; also dam of the Golden Slipper winner Estijaab and the Gr.3 speedster Remarque.
Two of the first nine winners bred on this Exceed And Excel/Deep Impact combination are stakes winners.
Lady Samurai's dam Battle Line by the great Galileo has had five winners from six to race and she is a half-sister to the Hong Kong based dual stakes winner Self Flit and the stakes placed Hong Kong winner Quick Speed.
