Description

Valley Sweetheart is an eleven-year-old mare by Show A Heart out of the Stakes placed Redoute’s Choice mare Hurl. At her second start, Valley Sweetheart was runner up in the Listed Crockett Stakes at Moonee Valley behind multiple Group 1 placegetter Lake Geneva. She is also a half-sister to the Group 3 winner Kiss A Rose and hails from the same family as Ugo Foscolo and this year’s Blue Diamond winner Hayasugi. Show A Heart mares have a terrific record in the breeding barn, having produced the Group 1 winner Miss Cover Girl and the Group winning stallions Winning Rupert and Extreme Warrior.

Valley Sweetheart has had three foals to the race for two winners, both of whom now have multiple victories. Her most recent foal was a So You Think colt who sold for $120k at this year’s Inglis Classic Sale. Valley Sweetheart is being sold in foal to Golden Slipper winner Farnan who has begun his breeding career in fine style with an average of just under $300k at this years Magic Millions Yearling Sale. The last date of service was 21.09.2023.

Valley Sweetheart has a non-patent left jugular vein and she has had advanced dentistry but has been under normal management since the start of the 2023 breeding season.
