Description
Langmore
Langmore is a half sister to the recently sold Group 1 Winner RUTHLESS DAME who fetched $2.0M when purchased by the astute Northern Farm in Japan.
She is by the highly promising stallion Almanzor who has produced no less than 41 stakes horses from his first 4 crops – including 28 here in Australia & New Zealand. They include the winners such as:
• MANZOICE - Group 1 VRC Derby
• POSITIVITY – Group 3 SAJC SA Fillies Classic and the TR Sunline Vase
• DYNASTIC – Karaka 2yo Millions
And last weekend his very promising 3yo colt, Geriatrix, beat the older horses at Eagle Farm. A few races later, the 3yo filly Moonlight Magic, added a Group 1 placing to her CV when running second in the Queensland Derby.
Langmore is a daughter of the stakes performed mare Ruthless Lady, who herself is a daughter of gun 2yo stakes winning filly Lady Dehere. Langmore demonstrated this inherited early speed when she sprinted up quickly to win her first trial (see attached replay) and followed that with a second placing at her racing debut to subsequent multiple Group 2 winner and Group 1 performed filly Impendabelle.
She should really have won her 3rd start but lost a plate in running and then pulled up just before the line when she shied at the winning post.
Trainer John Bary described Langmore as a horse “that was big and strong…. with an absolutely amazing temperament – unflappable” and “with a turn of foot that was electric”.
She stands approximately 16hh and was 550kg when last weighed.
Langmore is being offered as a broodmare prospect only.
