Holder Sunset (Shamardal x Montana Sunset, by More Than Ready)
In foal to Acrobat (Fastnet Rock)
A daughter of Shamardal, himself the broodmare sire of just shy of 200 international stakes performers including Imperatriz, Private Eye, Latrobe and Converge, Holder Sunset is a three-time-winning half-sister to the Group 3 placed Iphimedia, both out of the Group 2 performer Montana Sunset, who is in turn a half-sister to the Group 2-winning, Group 1 placed Montana Flyer and the stakes placed Caravaggio.
Being sold in foal to Coolmore’s speedy Fastnet Rock stallion Acrobat, the fastest time ever two-year-old over the Randwick 10000m, the resultant foal will be bred on the same Fastnet Rock x Shamardal pedigree cross that has produced 24 winners from 30 runners including six individual stakes performers.
Acrobat has proven very popular at stud to date, covering over 360 mares in his two seasons so far with his first crop yearlings set to sell in 2025.
