Description

First Blessing is an outstanding physical type - she is 16hh & weighs 504kg.

After winning her first jump out in very fast time she had a paddock accident in a big storm, hitting both front knees on a gate post. The knees took some time to heal, but she eventually was able to go back into training. Unfortunately she continues to develop right knee soreness when in full training and vets have been unable to identify the problem as she xrays cleanly. This has prevented her from fulfilling her undoubted potential.

Current vet advice is that if racing again she would need a 3 month spell.

The filly had tie forward/laser surgery for medial deviation of the aryepiglottic folds in early January 2024.

The owners feel at this stage that it is best she be retired for breeding purposes.
