Description
Out of six-time winner Chelsea Hotel, from Capitalist, this lightly raced mare Speed Personified has shown plenty of ability but hasn’t had a lot of luck go her way and has been plagued by injury.
She was a $300,000 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling purchase and following her breaking in, was found to have a lesion to her left hind tendon which required extended time off.
Given the time to recuperate, the filly resumed work and was beaten 2.5 lengths in her only trial as a two-year-old.
She was given further time and came back to have two trials which saw her win the first convincingly to beat city winner Llanddwyn and she was then narrowly beaten in her second.
She raced twice, being beaten less than a length on debut, to finish third at Canterbury, before failing at her second start when it was revealed that she had chips present in both front knees.
She had the surgery late January 2024 and was given the required time off which saw her resume work but unfortunately went sore again. As the breeding season is upon us, the ownership group elected to move her on now, giving buyers the opportunity to send her straight to stud.
This lovely, big strong mare has plenty of size and scope to carry a decent sized foal at stud and would make a lovely broodmare
