Description
STARFIELD IMPACT - An addition for any Elite Broodmare Band
Starfield Impact is 7-year-old mare by Demerit out of the Kendel Star mare Starfield Image who would be well found in any elite broodmare band or as a foundation mare for anyone looking to begin breeding select bloodstock. She is being sold with her colt foal at foot by dual Group 1 winning sire Shamus Award, the sire of Group 1 winners Duais, Incentivise, Mr Quickie, Quintessa etc. While her first foal, a filly by Hanseatic, was unfortunately lost in a paddock accident (photo attached), this colt offers any buyer a quick return on investment. Colts by Shamus Award sold at all major Australian yearling sales in 2024 with a top price of $350,000 achieved.
With career earnings of over $390,000, Starfield Impact was an extremely fast juvenile, winning the Crystal Slipper on just her third career start, beating the multiple Stakes winning mare Kissonallforcheeks by over 6th lengths. She would go on to win two Stakes races as a 2-year-old, including the Gimcrack Stakes beating dual Stakes winners Watch Me Dance and Solaia, and Stakes performer American Choice etc. A testament to her soundness, she would race on till she was 5 years old, winning or placing another 4 times.
Demerit, a son of super sire Lonhro, is the sire of 11 Stakes performers including other Gimcrack Stakes winning juveniles Kiss Bang Love and Agent Pippa. Mares by Demerit perform at 52.9% winners to runners and 5.9% Stakes winners to runners.
