Description
Zoulah is a young broodmare by Leading Sire Zoustar, out of the stakes places mare Okaylah (Flying Spur). She is bred on the same successful cross as Gr.3 winner Sun City and Gr.3 winner and Gr.1-placed The Astrologist, highlighting the proven compatibility of this pedigree.
During her racing career, Zoulah recorded five wins and placed at stakes level, demonstrating both talent and consistency on the track.
Her first foal is a weanling from the first crop of young sire Diatonic, a Japanese multiple Group winning sprinter miler by Lord Kanaloa. Renowned for his speed and consistency, Diatonic earned over $5.2 million in career earnings. He hails from the direct female line of breed shapers Halo and Northern Dancer and was supported with some of Yulong’s best mares in his first season at stud, including Snapdancer, In Her Time and Melody Belle.
In 2024, Zoulah was covered by Group producer Lucky Vega, sire of the 2025 Gr.2 Sweet Embrace Stakes winner Within The Law. Lucky Vega has proven to be an incredible investment for breeders, with yearlings selling up to $380,000 in 2025 and averaging eight-times their conception fee.
