Description

Camerata is a young seven-year-old mare by the legendary sire Redoute’s Choice, out of the Deep Impact mare Bariloche (JPN). She hails from a deep international black-type family—her grand dam, Potrizaris, was a Champion three-years old filly and dual Gr.1 winner. Potrizaris produced several top Japanese performers, including Gr.3 winner and multiple stakes-placed Dia De La Novia, who in turn produced numerous stakes winners, reinforcing the strength of this female lineage.

Although Camerata did not perform on the track, it's important to note that many elite racehorses—including Militarize, Celestial Legend, Kimochi, and Bella Nipotina—were produced from mares who themselves did not win during their racing careers.

As a broodmare, Camerata is off to a promising start. She has a two-year-old by six-time Gr.1 winner Dundeel, a yearling by Gr.1 Blue Diamond Stakes winner Tagaloa, and an exciting weanling by Champion Sire Written Tycoon.

In 2024 she was covered by exciting new sire Panthalassa, a mating that brings valuable pedigree synergy. A Japanese-bred, dual international Gr.1 winner, Panthalassa is the highest-earning horse ever to stand in Australia, with over $21 million in prizemoney. He was heavily supported in his first season at stud by leading breeders, covering top-class middle-distance mares including Gr.1 winners Miss Sentimental (NZ), Pennyweka (NZ), Montefilia, and Autumn Angel.
